Learn to Repair & Alter Your Clothes
Give your clothes a second life and learn how to repair them yourself
Do you have clothes that need a hem, a small repair or a simple alteration?
Are you tired of throwing clothes away when they could easily be repaired?
In this practical clothing repair and alterations workshop in Sophia Antipolis, you’ll learn how to repair, alter and give a second life to your own clothes.
Whether you’re a complete beginner or already know how to use a sewing machine, this hands-on sewing class will teach you useful techniques you can use at home.

✔ Repairing small holes, tears and snags
✔ Reinforcing worn or weakened areas
✔ Replacing or securing buttons

FAQ
What should I bring?
Bring the clothes or textiles you would like to repair or alter.
You can bring one or several items, depending on how much you would like to accomplish during the session.
We’ll look at your projects together at the beginning of the workshop and decide which repairs or alterations to prioritise.
Can I bring my own sewing machine?
Absolutely!
If you have a sewing machine at home, I recommend bringing it with you. This allows you to learn how to use your own machine and understand its settings.
If you don’t have a machine, a sewing machine will be provided.
Do you offer sewing lessons for beginners?
Yes!
You don’t need any previous sewing experience to join this workshop.
However, if you’ve never used a sewing machine before and would like to learn the basics first, I recommend booking a 1-hour “Learn How to Use Your Sewing Machine” lesson before your clothing repair session.
This will give you the confidence you need to work independently during the repair workshop.
Can I bring several clothes to repair?
Yes, as long as there is enough time during your session.
We’ll decide together which projects to work on first.
For more complex repairs or alterations, several sessions may be needed.
Can I take this workshop with someone?
Yes! You can come with a friend, family member or colleague and learn how to repair your clothes together.
The duo format is a great way to learn sewing in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
A discount is available when two people book together.
Do you offer sewing lessons at home?
Absolutly, if you prefer to learn in the comfort of your own home, I also offer sewing lessons at home, where I can teach you how to repair and alter your clothes using your own sewing machine and your own projects. Home sewing lessons are available for individuals or Duo.
If you pay through the French CESU scheme, you may be eligible for a 50% tax benefit.
